Bengaluru FC sign Alex Barrera to replace injured Erik Paartalu ahead of ISL playoffs
Alejandro 'Álex' Barrera García has been signed by Bengaluru FC ahead of the ISL playoffs and he will replace injured midfielder Erik Paartalu till the end of the season. The 27-year-old midfielder has signed a short term deal with the club after Paartalu picked up an injury against Chennaiyin FC.

The midfielder, who will be plying his trade outside Spain for the first time, said he was upbeat about the opportunity to take the field for the Blues.
“I feel really good to be here and I am excited to be part of the club. I am here to try to help the team as much as I can to achieve the goal. Since I was playing regularly before coming to India, I am fit and want to get onto the field as soon as possible. I want to work with the team and the players to get comfortable with all the boys quickly,” said Barrera after completing formalities.
