Australian opener David Warner lost his wicket just after commentator Mark Nicholas brought out the stat that Warner has never been out on 90s. The incident brought his co-commentator Shane Warne in despair as in the next delivery, Warner gave a simple catch to Hashim Amla to be dismissed for 97.

Commentator’s curse- it may sound odd just like a dismissal on Nelson number. But in the sporting world, these types of funny things happen at times. Add to that, the latest incident in which Mark Nicholas was the culprit for the dismissal of Australian opener David Warner, and you can’t stop laughing.

In the ongoing first Test match between Australia and South Africa, David Warner was just 3 runs shy of a century and in the middle of a 158-run partnership with Shaun Marsh.

Just then, Mark Nicholas, who was in the Channel Nine commentary box, brought up the stat that Warner has never been out on his 90’s and will surely complete the 17th Century of his Test career. As soon as Nicholas brought up his stat, Warne replied: "Oh no. He's never been out in the 90s? Why did you have to bring that up?"

In the very next delivery, Warner was caught by Hashim Amla to be dismissed for 97. The wicket brought Warne to his feet in despair telling Nicholas: "Oh Mark, you put the commentator's curse on him."

After the dismissal of Warner, Australia's innings fell like a pack of cards as they could add only 86 runs and lost all the wickets.
