Virat Kohli has always been passionate about his game and plays it hard but fair with his sportsmanship being the hallmark of the fierce personality. Today, he proved that quality once again as he immediately walked back even before the umpire referred the stumping dismissal to the third umpire.

India cruised to one of the easiest victories possible and the run chase was spearheaded by none other than Virat Kohli. The chase master got into the action with his partner Rohit Sharma and the duo blew Windies bowlers smithereens to orchestrate the eight-wicket victory. The duo was fluid in their stroke-play and made sure that Windies had no respite from the Indian cyclone.

However, amidst the carnage, Kohli was an oasis of calm in his demeanour and didn’t get carried away at all. While runs were coming in plenty, Kohli had the glorious opportunity to score a 150, but a Devendra Bishoo delivery in the 33rd over brought an end to the splendid innings, against the run of play.

Bishoo bowled a flighted delivery outside the off-stump and lured the batsman to come forward. Kohli lunged across a long way and got beaten on the outside edge while trying to drive the ball on the up, but the resultant momentum dragged his back leg out of the crease and Shai Hope was quick to dislodge the bails. Even before Windies players started appealing for it, Kohli was quick to leave for the pavilion. Umpire referred the appeal to the third umpire and even before the third umpire could check the replay, Kohli had almost crossed the boundary ropes.
