Bayern Munich coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied the rumours of a crisis at the German club following their poor performances in the Bundesliga. Despite being critical of his players in last week's draw against Eintracht Frankfurt, Ancelotti said that the players have learnt their lesson.

Bayern Munich have not been at their usual devastating best lately. Starting with their group-stage defeat in the Champions League to Atletico Madrid, the Bavarians have drawn two back-to-back matches in the Bundesliga against FC Koln and Eintracht Frankfurt. Following last week's 2-2 draw against 10-men Frankfurt, the Bayern boss criticized the attitude of his players which led to rumours of unrest at the Allianz Arena. But Ancelotti claimed that it's too soon to talk about a crisis.

"We are not in crisis. It is too soon to say that. There are always difficult moments throughout a season. It can happen in October or in January. It's the same everywhere. But I am confident. Things were going very well until three games ago," Ancelotti told reporters ahead of Wednesday's Champions League encounter with PSV.

"We have learned that we will not win anything without the right attitude and intensity. The players are very professional and intelligent. They know their attitude was not good enough,” he added.

The former Real Madrid and PSG coach, who is known for his calm attitude, said that he will not punish his players despite the latest dip in their performances.

"I have to stay true to myself. Of course, sometimes I have to be more strict than in other situations, but I am not going to punish the players.”

“They have to understand what went well and what didn't go well. I believe in my players, even if they anger me occasionally. In the end, the players are the ones who will resolve the situation.

"We always want do well, but what matters most is that we are top of the table in April. We have to be patient and remain confident," the Italian said.
