Tamil Thalaivas raider Rahul Chaudhari, while praising the Tamil Nadu-based franchise, has said that each and every player plays his heart out and that’s the reason why they don’t take much pressure. Rahul Chaudhari is the second-best raider in PKL history with 867 total raid points to his name.

Tamil Thalaivas is a relatively new franchise and have failed to do much in their previous two seasons. However, in season 7, they look like an improved team. They have a mix of young and experienced players which provides them with perfect balance. With players like Manjeet Chillar, Ajay Thakur, Ran Singh, Mohit Chhilar and many more, the team is able to make sound decisions on the mat. Till now they have won three out of their six matches and lost two of their matches by a single point difference.

"Every player in the Thalaivas' team gives his heart out and the management doesn't put any pressure on us. Despite losing two very close contests, the team management is backing us and that definitely has boosted our confidence," Rahul Chaudhari told TOI.

Rahul Chaudhari has scored 47 points in six matches he has played till now and has been an asset to his team. He was with Telugu Titans for the past six seasons. Last season he wasn’t able to much for them as he scored only 166 points in 21 matches. One of the biggest reasons for his non-performance last season was too much pressure as he was the only prominent raider in the team. This season that is not the case as Tamil Thalaivas skipper Ajay Thakur provides him with immense support.

“I have always enjoyed playing alongside Ajay bhai. He treats me like his younger brother and we share a great bond. That camaraderie with him comes out during our games as well.

“Ours is an experienced unit and players are very aware of their responsibilities. I always believe that teams that win consistently are the ones that execute their plans well. We are a top-notch unit and Thalaivas have the capability to hold onto our own in crunch situations,” the 26-year-old signed off.
