Bangladesh Cricket Board has made some forced changes in the squad ahead of their tour of India as Mominul Haque will lead the Test side while Mahmudullah Riyad will be leading the T20 side. In other changes, Abu Hider Rony is in for Mohammad Saifuddin while Mohammad Mithun replaces Tamim Iqbal.

Trouble seems to have surrounded Bangladesh Cricket Board ahead of their India tour, first the players' strike and now key players being ruled out of the series. After successfully negotiating with the revolting players, the BCB has turned to the issue at hand, that of replacing their key players. With all-rounder and skipper Shakib Al Hassan being forced out of the series, Bangladesh has named Mominul Haque to lead the Test side while Mahmudullah Riyad has been asked to lead the T20 side today (October 29).

BCB has also named a string of changes in the T20 and Test sides. Abu Haider Rony has been named to replace injured Mohammad Saifuddin while Tamim Iqbal is set to be replaced by Mohammad Mithun. While Saifuddin's recurring back injury ruled him out of the series, Tamim chose to stay back with his family as he expects his second child.

Taijul Islam will come in for Shakib in the T20 squad. The left-arm spinner, who made his T20I debut earlier this year against Zimbabwe, has featured in only two games with the second game coming against Afghanistan.

In the Test squad, uncapped Said Hassan has received his maiden call up on the back of 2217 runs which he has accumulated in 36 first-class games. Al Amin Hossain has been called up after a gap of five years while Ebadot Hossain, who was dropped after the series in New Zealand, also makes it to the 15-man squad.
