Former Indian U19 skipper Unmukt Chand has denied claims that he is set to move to the United States to participate in Major League Cricket (MLC) and has asserted that he went to grounds merely to practice. On Sunday, Pakistan’s Sami Aslam claimed that Chand was planning to move to the US.

Sami Aslam, who quit Pakistan cricket last year to pursue a career in USA, has revealed that Unmukt Chand is one among multiple Indians all set to play cricket in the United States. Chand, a former U19 World Cup winning captain, last represented Uttarakhand in the Ranji Trophy in 2019/20.

The Knight Riders group have invested in the USA-based Major League Cricket (MLC) and will hold a ‘significant stake’ in the tournament, the ACE confirmed on Monday. Unlike the IPL and the CPL, the Knight Rider’s group will own a stake at the league level and not the franchise level.
