A big day for Indian shuttlers today, as one more win in the competition would guarantee their spots in the semis, and hence medals too. On day nine of the CWG 2022, the badminton action starts with PV Sindhu taking on Ji WEI Goh in her quarters match, followed by Aakarshi Kahsyap against Kirsty.

UPDATE - Lakshya Sen has taken his first game against Julien Paul 21-12. He is also leading 16-10 in the second.

UPDATE - Srikanth saw off a strong comeback by the Englishman to take the first game 21-19.

UPDATE - Kidambi Srikanth has gone into the break of his first game against England's Toby Penty leading 11-8.
