WHAT A PERFORMANCE BY THE 22-YEAR-OLD INDIAN! SHE JUST TORE THROUGH YUFEI'S DEFENCE. WITH OKUHARA HAVING PLAYED TWO THREE SETTERS OVER THE LAST TWO DAYS, SINDHU WILL BE THE FAVORITE GOING INTO THE GAME.

Yufei's smash is called "in" by the linesman but Sindhu challenges the call and the decision is overturned.

Sindhu has taken her foot off the pedal here but Yufei continues making mistakes as the former brings up 10 match points.

Sindhu responds with two big cross court smashes and is just three points away from booking a place in the final for the second time in her career. 

Easily the rally of the game this. Both players show their prowess at the net but it is the Chinese player who is able to get the point. 

Wong anticipation by Sindhu brings the differnce below 10 for the first time in a while.

Yufei challenges after her drive is called out by the linesman. It is well wide as Sindhu keeps the double digit lead intact.

Yufei forces an error from Sindhu through a drop shot and takes another one as the Indan makes an uncharacteristic mistake at the net.

But Sindhu has had enough. A brilliant cross court smash keeps the lead in double digits. The Indian then forces an error to take a 12 point lead. 

AND ANOTHER ONE!!!

This is incredible!!! Yufei has won a point. 

It goes from bad to worse for the Chinese star as Sindhu outplays her from both the baseline and at the net. 

Finally, a point for Yufei after Sindhu slips at the net. She follows up the point with a 28-shot rally but struggles to finish off though. Another rushed winner by Yufei takes the players into the break with a 10-point lead for the Indian.

The break cannot come soon for the teenager as she goes wide of sideline again. 

This is turning into a bit of a riot here. SEVEN POINT IS A ROW FOR SINDHU and Yufei is yet to open her count in the second game.

The youngster is losing her cool her. Yet another rushed winner attempt takes the score to 5-0.

Yufei tries to force a winner but can't clear the net. She then goes too long with her drive. Sindhu with a commanding lead in the second.

Yufei is playing with the drift now but it is the Indian who takes the first point through a misjudgment from the teenager.

Sindhu to get us started in the second game. Just a game away to better her record at the World Championship. 

Yufei has her work cut out for her. She needs to be aggressive if she wants to play Okuhara in the final tomorrow. It is a tough task but not that difficult. Ask Nozomi Okuhara.

Brilliant play by Sindhu. Game point. She needs just one to secure the first game of the semi-final.

Yufei takes another point with an inside out smash but hits her drive well wide. Sindhu takes the next point on the net as she brings up seven game point opportunities.

Sindhu takes three points on the stretch, two of which Yufei failed to get across the net. The teenager, though, comes up with a down the line smash to stay in the game.

Oh Sindhu has misjudged the same drive, into the same corner, yet again. Yufei is trying to launch a comeback. Tough odds though.

Excellent play at the net by the Indian. Yufei puts too much air under a hair pin shot and is met with a smash to the body. On the next point, the Chinese teenager goes long as the advantage increases to five again.

Sindhu appears to be in complete control here but a misjudgement brings an end to the consecutive point streak as Yufei reduces the gap to four points.

Two brilliant smashes hands Sindhu the biggest lead of the match so far - FIVE.

Sindhu has come in with a proper gameplan. Her opponent, however, seems to be winging it in the semi-final of the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.

A jump-smash down the line takes Sindhu's score into double digits. She follows it up with a drop shot winner to go into the break leading 11-8.

An error by Sindhu is matched and bettered by Yufei as Sindhu takes the lead for the first time since the early exchanges.

Sindhu gets lucky as she touches the net before the shuttle hit the ground. The referee sides with the Indian as the scores are levlled again.

Three brilliant points for the Chinese star, who takes a three point lead. Sindhu wins a point back with a well placed shot to Yufei's forehand line.

Great defensive work by the Chinese star as she keeps the rally going after putting in a dive to pick up a smash and Sindhu helps her out with an unforced error. However, the Indian levels things up with a deft touch at the net.

A long drive costs Sindhu a point but she levels things up with a smash from the net.

Yufei fights back with a couple of quick points, the second of which is a comprehensive body smash.

Sindhu takes the first point after Yufei misjudges a drive down the forehand line.

Sindhu and Yufei have faced off twice and both players have secured a match apiece. Yufei will start us off here in Glasgow.

What a game we have just witnessed now! Liu Cheng and Zhang Nan may have scampered past their compatriot Chai Biao and Hong Wei (21-17, 21-19), but they gave a terrific competetion nonetheless.  

Now the most awaited game of the day - the last one of the day as well - PV Sindhu is taking on Chinese shuttler Chen Yufei now in a bid to reach her first final. 

Remember, the Rio Olympics bronze medalist won two bronze medals at the World Championships. Can she better her record today? If she does, it will be a historic occasion for India, for sure.

What a game it was! Both teams played an attacking brand of Badminton from the outset, but Liu Cheng and Zhang Nan emerge as the stronger to take the first game 21-17. 

The focus now shifts to the penultimate match of the day - the all Chinese affair - as Chai Biao and Hong Wei are taking on Liu Cheng and Zhang Nan for a place in the men's doubles final.  It is a win-win for China, but the shuttlers will not give an inch to the other, for sure. 

After a neck-to-neck contest in the second game, Zheng Siwei and Chen Qingchen get hold of the Adcock couple at 23-21 to win the match  21-15, 23-21.

It was a tough game and the Adcock couple can take inspiration from the fact that they fought till the end and didn't hand the Chinese pair the game without proper contest. 

Zheng Siwei and Chen Qingchen take the first set then by a margin of 21-15. The Adcock couple need to up their game to stay in the match, but will the Chinese pair let them do that? 

Mixed doubles semi-final is on now as the English couple, Chris Adcock and Gabrielle Adcock are locking horns with the Chinese pair of Zheng Siwei and Chen Qingchen. The winners of the game will play the Indonesian pair of Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsi who beat the Honk Kong pair of Lee Chun Hei Reginald and Chau Hoi Wa  21-16, 21-13 in the semifinal today.

And it is over. Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota didn't give their opponents any chance in the decider game to win it 21-14 and thus sealed the match as well. 

The Danish pair failed to pose any challenge in the final game in front of a rampant Fukushima who used her wonderful body smash to great effect. Her partner Hirota complimented her by covering the court nicely after a hiccup in the second game.

What a game this is turning out to be! After the Japanese pairing of Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota won the first game comfortably by a margin of 21-17, the Danish pair of Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl give the duo a tough run for their money bagging the second game 21-19. 

The game has entered the decider now and let's see who comes out on the top.

Next event up is Women's doubles in which the Japanese pairing of Yuki Fukushima and Sayaka Hirota are taking on the Danish pairing of Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl.

And here Lin Dan once again. A champion performance from the Chinese shuttler as he outplayed his South Korean counterpart convincingly by a margin of 21-17, 21-14 to book a place for the Sunday Showdown. It was the ninth meeting among the duo and Wan Ho is still searching to break the code. 

Now, Lin Dan will meet Viktor Axelsen in the final who beat defending Champion Chen Long 21-9, 21-10 in the semi-final today.

Welcome back friends to our live coverage of BWF Badminton World Championship semi-finals. Now in the men's singles semifinal, Lin Dan is taking on World Number 1 Son Wan Ho in a bid to secure a place in the final.

Saina was brilliant in the first game but Okuhara dug deep, just as she had done yesterday against Marin, to win the next two games and become the first Japanese player to reach the final of the World Championships.

It's all over!! Saina is out of the World Championship!

Saina and the Indain fans need a miracle now as the lead extends to 11. A lucky point off the net for Saina is followed by an unforced error by Okuhara. Can Saina do a Srikanth??

It's a ten-point game now. Saina looks exhausted and her decision making is also letting her down. The appears to be just one winner now.

Okuhara is making Saina do all the running now and produces a consumate finish with deception on a push down the line, on the forehand side.

A brilliant inside-out smash gets Saina two back to back points for the first time since the opening rallies of this game.

Saina wins a point as Okuhara, unsurprisingly, misjudges a drive. She needs to go on a run now.

She does just that. But Okuhara comes up with all the answers as well as a smash to wrap up the point.

Saina needs to just compose herself here and use her experience to get back into the game. She needs to play an agressive brand or badminton like she did in the first game.

And she misses again as the Japanese star goes into the break with an incredible SEVEN point lead.

FINALLY!! Saina gets a point but not before Okuhara had added a couple more. Saina looks like she is struggling. Her match with Gilmour appears to have taken its toll.

Oh Saina, how did u miss that??? 

Saina gets Okuara trapped at the net but a simple shot that to the Japanese's backhand ends up wide of the line. This is troubling for the Indian.

FIVE IN A ROW FOR OKUHARA!!! She takes a three point lead in the decider. The last point was complete control right from the start till the cross court smash that ended the point.

Surprising call by the official. Okuhara's racquet appears to have crossed into Saina's court before the shuttle is dead but she is awarded the point. The 22-year-old takes the next one as well as Saina's drive goes wide.

Okuhara tries to do a Sian with an angled drop but can only find the tape. Two point lead for Saina.

Oh you beauty!!! Saina sends her opponent the wrong way with a sensational angled drop shot. Okuhara follows that up with a long drive to hand the Indain the initiative.

Saina's angled drop shot is just wide of the line as the Japanese takes the first point. Saina has to vary not to give the youngster a lead like she did in the second.

Okuhara to kick off the final game. What a performance by both players here. We have an facinating game instore here as shouts of "Ganpati Bappa" ring in Glasgow.

IT'S ALL LEVEL. WE GO TO A DECIDER.

A perfectly placed, down the line, shot from Okuhara is an inch too far for Saina. 

Now the mistakes are creeping into Saina's game as she misses an easy smash from the sideline. THREE GAME POINTS FOR OKUHARA.

A fierce smash down the line is too hot to handle for Okuhara as the scores are leveled again. But keeping with the trend of the game, The Japanese retakes the lead with a quick body smash.

She can't as the Indian does an Okuhara and misjudges the length on the Japanese's long down the line drive.

It's level again courtesy of an Okuhara unforced error. Can Saina take the lead now??

Saina still can't take the lead as a drop shot hits the tape and falls back into Saina's court.

But Okuhara is not going to go away that easily as she takes another point through a drop shot. However, she gives away the next three point at the net bringining the scores level for just the third time in the game.

Some exceptional defending, along with lax play by Okuhara, gets Saina within a point of the her opponent.

Two uncharateristic unforced errors, one straight at the net and the other wide, from Saina hand the Japanese a three point lead.

It's Okuhara who goes into the break with a one-point advantage.

Okuhara retakes the lead instantly but tries to be too cute with a drop shot and it results in the scoreboard reflecting the points being split equally with 20 points played.

Wow. There was some venom in that smash. Saina comes up with a 301 kph smash to reduce the deficit to just one point.

AND SHE IS LEVEL!! A drop shot from the baseline brings Saina back on terms for the first time since 0-0.

Excellent judgement by Saina reduces the deficit to two points yet again. But Okuhara comes up with a brillinat drop to extend the lead to THREE points. 

Oh this is absurd. Now Okuhara takes two in a row. It appears the duo don't want to win in more or less than two points in a row. 

And it's two points Saina's way now. No prizes for guessing how she got them. Misjudged leave and an unforced error. 

It's a four point game again. Okuhara take a point with a superb deceptive shot before she forces and error from Saina to regain the four point lead.

TWO IN A ROW FOR SAINA NOW!! Okuhara, not for the first time, misjudges a long Saina drive, before the Indian shows her brilliance at the net to have the deficit. 

A cross-court smash doubles Okuhara's advantage. Oh WOW!! Where was this in the first game. Four points in a row for the 22-year-old.

Saina gets us started again but its the Japanese who gets the first point of the game.

Saina's play has been exceptional so far but based on her game against Marin yesterday, you can expect a reaction from Okuhara.

A mistake by Okuhara hands Saina eight game points, the first of which the Indian coverts to take the first set 21-12.

Some excellent retrivals by Okuhara gets her two points but Saina comes up with an exceptional drop shot to keep the Japanese in check.

Normal service has been resumed as Saina completely outplays the youngster before the latter misses a cross court smash to increase gap to eight again.

Oh hang on!! Some lazy play by Saina compounded with a couple of big shots by the Japanese means that the deficit is down to just SIX.

Even though Okuhara comes up with a Saina-esque drop shot, before producing a back hand drop, she looks spent in this game. 

This is turning into a bit of rout in Glasgow. Okuhara has just missed an easy smash at the net as the lead extends to NINE points.

A long 29-shot rally comes to an end as Okuhara misreads the length on a Saina drive as the shuttle catches the inside part of the line. 

WHAT IS OKUHARA DOING??? Another misjudgment by the Japanese.

Saina goes into the break with a five point lead. She has just restarted from where she had left off against Gilmour yesterday. 

Two unforced errors from Saina reduces the deficit to just four but in the next rally she puts in a long drive that catches the baseline. A cross court smash by Okuhara takes her tally for the game to six but she appears to be stuugling. 

A brilliant inside-out smash gets Okuhara her first point in seven attempts but a long drive in the next rally means that the six point advantage is intact.

It's a SIX point game now. Okuhara slips and Saina capitalizes. The Japanese needs to find her feet quickly or this could be a rout.

Two back to back unforced errors by Okuhara have handed the Indian an early three point lead. 

And the lead extends five as Okuhara looks rattled by Saina's quick start.
