If Arjun Tendulkar has his father's passion for cricket, he will succeed, says Glen McGrath

Glen McGrath is in Sachin Tendulkar's hometown Mumbai with the MRF pace foundation conducting a two-day camp for the youngsters on being invited by the  Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). One of the upcoming talents in fast bowling for India could be none other than Sachin's 18-year old son Arjun Tendulkar who was recently seen bowling in the nets to the English players and Indian women's team.

McGrath who holds the world record for most Test wickets by a fast bowler believes that there is no stopping Arjun if he has the same passion and love for the game as his father. but he saw that the young cricketer will be under great pressure whenever he makes a debut for India owing to his legendary surname.

"When you have a name like Tendulkar, those are pretty big shoes to fill. Whether he is looking to be a fast bowler more than a batsman (I don't know). We will wait and see. But if he has the love and passion for the game that Sachin had, he will be a winner," McGrath told India Today.

Interestingly, it is a well-known fact that Sachin started his career with similar aspirations of becoming a fast bowler before being rejected by former express Australian bowler Dennis Lillee which forced him to focus only on his batting. 

"I know Sachin wanted to be a fast bowler when he was younger and had come to MRF. So may be...," McGrath said.
