Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint Germain eased their way into a 4-0 victory against Toulouse, with all of the goals being scored in the second half. However, the French giants also lost their first choice forwards Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe to injury, in the first and second half, respectively.

Uruguay star Edinson Cavani was forced off the field after just 14 minutes of play, while French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe could not continue the second half after being affected by a thigh problem, reports BBC. The score stood at 0-0 during halftime at the Parc des Princes, but Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who was brought on as Cavani’s replacement, broke the deadlock.

PSG are still without their prized asset in Neymar Jr, while his future hangs in the air, and the recent injuries will see their front-line miss a few games. Neymar’s future does hang in the balance but hopefully not for long, with the European transfer window closing on Monday, the 2 of September. But they did not miss the former Barcelona man, thanks to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's performance.

The former Stoke City star scored a brace either side of goals from Marquinhos and an own goal from Toulouse defender Mathieu Goncalves scoring, alongside an Angel di Maria penalty miss, as goals flew in the second half.
