Harbhajan Singh has questioned the selectors’ decision to not pick Karun Nair, who struck a magnificent triple-century against England in the final Test, for the limited-overs squads of the series. But, Bhajji subsequently deleted his Tweet from his official handle to avoid a fresh controversy.

The BCCI yesterday announced the squads for the upcoming ODI and T20 series against England and they have brought young faces in the form of Delhi opener Rishabh Pant and also included Mandeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal. But surprisingly, the selectors missed out Karun Nair, who became only the second Indian to score a triple-century, from the limited-overs team.

Instead, the board decided to pick veteran southpaw Yuvraj Singh, who last played an ODI in the Indian blues in December of 2013 against South Africa at Centurion.

Taking to Twitter, Harbhajan questioned the non-selection of Nair in the team after such a splendid performance. He wrote, “Hello guys Wher is Karun Nair?? Who just scored 300 vs Eng..he isn't part of even practice games against Eng. forget ODI. Wah kamal hai”

Bhajji, however, deleted the post about Karun Nair from his Twitter handle in a minute or so. The deletion is understandable given Harbhajan has been involved in so many controversies of late. Two months ago, he questioned Ravichandran Ashwin’s success saying he gets a lot of favour from the tailor-made wicket, which led to a lot of criticism from former cricketers and fans alike. The original question from Harbhajan, though, is as well equally understandable given Nair's exhibits and the outlook that the team needs to have with the World Cup two years away.
