PKL 2019 | Entire team is performing well, says Joginder Narwal
Dabang Delhi skipper Joginder Narwal has lauded the efforts of his squad who he feels have been on song for a while in every aspect of the game. Dabang Delhi defeated Puneri Paltan with a scoreline of 60-40 to seal a prestigious top-two spot after Naveen Kumar registered his 17th straight Super 10.
A career-high 19 raid points from Naveen Kumar and he also registered his 17th straight Super 10, saw Dabang Delhi K.C. beat Puneri Paltan with a convincing scoreline of 60-40 at the Tau Devilal Sports Complex in Panchkula on Sunday. Chandran Ranjit, who also got a Super 10 gaining 12 raid points, supported Naveen brilliantly. Ravinder Pahal got a High 5 for Delhi in the defence. Dabang Delhi’s coach Krishan Kumar Hooda was elated with his team’s exceptional performance and so was skipper Joginder Narwal.
“The entire team has been on song for a while now. The raiders, the Covers, the Corners have all been in tandem on the mat and the results are evident,” Joginder said.
“It was a solid all-round performance. I am extremely happy with the execution of the gameplan on the mat,” said Hooda in the post-match press conference
With this high-flying victory, Dabang Delhi are now leading the Pro Kabaddi League standings and have sealed a spot in the top two of the league table. Joginder further added that it is not a big deal that they put up a record-breaking tally of 60 points, what matters is that his team emerge victorious.
“It doesn’t matter if it is 50 or 60 or even 10. The number of points does not matter as long as the team wins. These things can happen at any time. It is not that big a deal,” the skipper concluded.
