Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has revealed that the Nerazzurri have no interest in selling their best players because they’re looking to improve their side even more. The San Siro side have done well this season under Antonio Conte but still have a few kinks to work out.

For Inter Milan, all they needed to challenge for the title was a new manager and a whole host of new players walking into a system that actually worked to help them improve. That combined with Antonio Conte’s knowledge and experience in the Italian top tier alongside a group of world class players have seen the San Siro side become title challengers. But consistency has been a massive problem for Conte’s side despite both Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez finding their groove.

Yet with the Argentine hitman having a fantastic season, it has seen a whole host of clubs linked with a move although Barcelona are his top suitors. The Catalan giants are extremely interested in a move for Martinez but Inter Milan chief Piero Ausilio has confirmed that the club will not be forced to sell their best players. He also added that while Barcelona are interested, they will have to pay the release clause if they want the striker.

"Inter have no need to sell, nor do we want to sell our best players. We want to reinforce. I know they are , but we have not entered any negotiation because they know our desire. I envisage Lautaro here at Inter. Besides, he still has three years remaining on his contract,” Ausilo said, reported Goal.

"We have invested a lot in him since he was very young. In these years, he has grown a lot and will continue to thanks to [manager Antonio] Conte, the system and a strike partner such as Lukaku. He is an asset for the club. There is a clause which would see him leave if met, but the expiry date is July 7.”

The Nerazzurri have been linked with their fair share of players with the likes of Timo Werner, Matheus Cunha and Sandro Tonali reportedly their top targets for the summer. But with Tonali also linked to Juventus and AC Milan, Werner heavily linked with a move to England and Cunha linked with a move to a bigger German side, it has made things complicated for Inter. But, Ausilio opened up and admitted that while Inter are interested in all three of the aforementioned names, any move in the near future is up in the air.

"Tonali definitely has the qualities to play for Inter, I don't know if he has the economic quality to be purchased. He has all the parameters to be a Nerazzurri player, but I don't know those of Cellino. We always liked Werner but he won't come , I know the reasons and they are various, I know the opinion of the boy and his entourage. It is true it has a clause but it will not come. Cunha? We are interested, we are following him,” he added.
