Mohammad Shami took 5-35 as India won the first Test against South Africa by 203 runs. South Africa exceeded everyone's expectations with their brilliant batting performance in the first innings but chasing 395 in the second, the Proteas suffered a shambolic batting collapse. In general, the fifth day of Tests in India is nothing but a spinner's paradise as they generally use every bit of assistance from the pitches, making life for batsmen hell. Today was no different, as the spinners did indeed play their part, but well, undoubteldy, the day belonged to Shami, who mesmerized everyone with his impeccable skill and consistency.
