The IPL is known for promoting the spirit of the game and has managed to produce some beautiful moments that have made the fans respect the sport even more. Hashim Amla, today, produced one such moment when he walked off after edging a delivery to the keeper even though the RCB side did not appeal.

After Suresh Raina won hearts with his gesture of comforting Rishabh Pant, following the youngster's dismissal at 97, today it was Hashim Amla who showed what fair play meant to him.

In the game against Kings XI Punjab, the first over was bowled by RCB's Aniket Choudhary who was swinging the ball both ways to keep the Punjab opening batsmen in check. On the fifth delivery of the over Aniket bowled a short of good length delivery outside off and forced Amla to play the cut. The South African fell for the bait and nicked the ball behind to the keeper but Aniket and keeper Kedar Jadhav remained unmoved. The RCB duo failed to hear the nick and so did the umpire. However, Amla showed his sportsmanship when started walking towards the dressing room without waiting for the umpire's decision.

The South African set an example of how heartwarming fair play can be in the game of cricket for all the fans all over the world.
