IPL 2024 | Twitter reacts to roaring Livingstone baiting Gill and Miller to turn the table for Kings

A game of cricket can involve plenty of twists and turns when high-octane players participate in a tourney. A similar happened in the last IPL 2024 contest at Mullanpur as Liam Livingstone got rid of dangerous batters in Shubman Gill and David Miller to break into an aggressive version.

Despite the toss favouring the Punjab Kings, their batting unit failed to capitalize on a solid opening start by Sam Curran and Prabhsimran Singh, losing wickets in clusters to the Gujarat Titans spinners. As they scored 142 runs in the first innings, their bowlers kept the Kings on track after extracting timely wickets with Livingstone enforcing a couple of big blows to celebrate aggressively.

On the third ball of the tenth over, Livingstone sprayed a leg-break in the hitting arc of Gill but the Titans skipper failed to time the lofted stroke. The bat turned at the point of impact, resulting in the ball flying sky high for Kagiso Rabada to take a regulation catch at long off. Eventually, the bowler roared up and gave a starry look at Gill, almost like a half-hearted sendoff.

In his next over of the same spell, the Englishman came around the wicket to dish an arm ball that Miller failed to read. The Proteas star took a couple of forward strides to nudge the ball across the line from inside the line but ended up getting beaten on the inside edge and the ball crashed onto the wooden sticks. Earning his second big scalp of the game, Livingstone could not shy away from celebrating it with sheer aggression and almost broke into a raging soul.

The Twitterverse found it uncanny of Livingstone to celebrate in this fashion and here’s how they reacted.
