The game of cricket is celebrated no better than in India where cricketers are worshiped like deities. India’s most successful captain MS Dhoni appeared with the bat for the first time in IPL 2024 against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam, sending the spectators crazy with his entrance and strokes.

‌Chasing 192 runs against the Delhi Capitals in their second home venue, the Chennai Super Kings top-order struggled against the DC bowlers, scoring just 47 runs in eight overs for the loss of a couple of wickets. Fast forward to the 16th over, and they had 120 runs in the board, followed by Shivam Dube getting out in the immediate next delivery. This led to the grand entrance of MS Dhoni for the first time in the ongoing edition. 

On the first delivery of the 17th over, exceptional Mukesh Kumar outwitted Dube with an off-cuter dished wide away from the left-hander. As the southpaw holed it to Tristan Stubbs at long-off, the amplitude at the venue went sky-high with a massive roar from the crowd. The buzz continued until the end of the contest as Dhoni walked out to bat, took guard, and smashed a four on the first ball, followed by three sixes with one coming in the last ball of the match. No doubt, this sent the Twitterverse into a frenzy.
