Aizawl FC beat DSK Shivajians on Saturday night and kept their hopes of staying up alive with a close-fought 1-0 win at Pune. Joel Sunday gave them the lead after heading Lalmuankima’s delightful cross, after which the away side rode on Anganba’s heroics in goal to come away with the win.

In what was a high octane match at the Sree Kanteerava stadium, Bengaluru FC defeated East Bengal 3-1 on Sunday to take a two-point lead in the title race with just two matches remaining in the season. Eugeneson, Kim Song Yong and Malsawmzuala scored the goals for home side in the match.

Lalchawnkima's winner from the penalty spot in the second half, was enough for Aizawl to pull out a shock 2-1 win against the defending champions Mohun Bagan at Mizoram on Saturday. This result brought an end to the Mariners' unbeaten run, and has breathed new life into the title race.

A second half hat-trick from Nigerian striker Ranti Martins helped East Bengal defeat Aizawl FC 3-2 at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Aizawl on Saturday. After leading 2-0, the home side capitulated in the second half after defender Chigozie received a straight red card for a foul in the box.

Bottom-placed DSK Shivajains defeated third-placed East Bengal 2-0 at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune to almost end the Kolkata side’s hopes of a title challenge. Ivorian midfielder Douhou Pierre and Spaniard Juan Quero scored the goals for the home side in what was an impressive win for DSK.

A brace from skipper Sunil Chhetri helped Bengaluru earn a 2-2 draw against Sporting Clube de Goa at the Fatorda stadium in Goa on Sunday. After leading 2-0, a red card to defender Loveday Enyinnaya ruined Sporting’s plans, and Chhetri cashed in on the one-man advantage to score two goals.
