Tamil Thalaivas coach Edacherry Bhaskaran is of the belief that his team was unlucky in the end as instead of the match ending in a tie it ended with Dabang Delhi winning by a single point. He also stated that the team as a whole is doing well and they are looking forward to the upcoming matches.

The match between Tamil Thalaivas and Dabang Delhi seemed to be going in favour of Thalaivas for most of the match but Dabang Delhi made a comeback. It wasn’t all Delhi effort that got them back into the game but it was also Thalaivas sloppiness on the mat and some self outs. Instead of slowing the pace of the game towards the end, they seemed to be in a hurry. Thalaivas lost two players to self out and one to a successful tackle attempt in Naveen Kumar’s raid.

“The match turned with three and a half minutes to go. We were in the lead and comfortable, but the (Naveen Kumar) raid which earned them three quick points changed the momentum. We were on par even after that, but we were unlucky at the end,” coach Bhaskaran said in the post-match press conference.

The last raid of the game was of Dabang Delhi and it was a Do-or-die raid. The scores were level up until that point, so as the raid went the umpires decided to award each side with a point but the Thalaivas took their review and the tackle was discredited hence Delhi winning by a point. This match witnessed a dramatic finish and the players of the Chennai-based side looked really upset by the results.

“This was only our second match of Season 7. There are a lot of matches left and we are not worried. Even today, we were in the lead for the majority of the match. I'm confident we will do well."

“The team is playing well. We, unfortunately, slipped up today but the team, as a whole, is doing well. We played well today and so did Dabang Delhi K.C. Congratulations to them for the win," the coach signed off.
