Former Kerala Blasters player Josu Currais has revealed that he is longing to get back with the Kerala Blasters stating that he hopes to get a call from the club every single day. The full-back also stated that he thinks the perfect closure for him would be to win an ISL title with the club.

Signed from Polish club Gornik Leczna back in the 2014-15 ISL season, Currais went on to play as many as 25 matches for the Blasters scoring once and assisting six times. A utility player on the flank, Currais can play on the left, right, as well as middle and was one of Kerala’s main players that season.

After the 2015-16 season, Currais left for Spanish second-tier side Extremadura UD and has since played for four different sides. However, the full-back has expressed his strong feeling for the club stating he is hoping to come back one day and win the title.

"I'm hoping every day that I get the call," said Currais in a recent interview with the ISL’s official website.

"I have been travelling around the world because of my profession and football. It has been a great experience, but my first option would always have been to stay with Kerala Blasters. I feel like I need to win the Hero ISL, especially for the Kerala Blasters fans. They have been very supportive of me. They have seen the team lose two finals. I think I still have something to give them,” he added.

After two back to back under-average seasons, Kerala Blasters are looking at a major revamp this time as they have already brought in successful manager Eelco Schattorie from NorthEast United FC, star midfielder Mario Arques from Jamshedpur FC, and are close to signing Bartholomew Ogbeche from the Highlanders as well. Just 26-year-old, Currais is still in his prime and could be a huge addition to their backline.
