Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has suggested that India should play the same team that crushed Pakistan by 124-runs when they take on Asian rivals Sri Lanka on Thursday. The 36-year old has also lauded the Indian team's performance against Pakistan and held them in high regard.

"I would play with the same XI because everyone played really well against Pakistan including Hardik Pandya. He gives you so much with the bat, bowl and with his fielding he's electric. He's feeding off Virat's energy on the field. He's someone who looks forward to the challenges and I think he should play. The same XI gives us more batting and bowling options with Pandya and one spinner Ravindra Jadeja. And if at all we have to bowl another spinner then don't forget the golden arm of Yuvraj Singh," Harbhajan told India Today.

The Indian bowlers breezed past the Pakistani batting lineup dismantling them for a meagre 164 after the batsmen put up a monstrous score of 319 on the board. India's terrific start to the title defence was applauded by the Punjab player.

"This team is definitely playing like champions and they showed it in their first game. We have all spoken about how the Pakistani's are not as good as India but let's just talk about how good we were." Harbhajan said.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan continued their exploitations at yet another ICC tournament as both the batsmen scored half-centuries and weaved a 136-run partnership for the team to build on. Later on, millions of Indian fans experienced nostalgia when they saw the glimpse of a vintage Yuvraj Singh smashing it sweetly to different corners of the ground. Among those millions was Harbhajan Singh who expressed his joy over watching his long-time comrade Yuvraj bamboozle the Pakistan bowling.

"Too happy to see Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma scoring runs, and of course, I was so happy to see Yuvraj Singh batting out there and the way he hit those shots it's just amazing to see. When Yuvraj gets going it's impossible to stop him." said the 36-year old.

Harbhajan was also impressed with the Indian bowlers whose scintillating bowling performance helped India seal the match.

"The bowling unit was fantastic from the first ball itself. From the seamers to spinners everything went in our favour but by working hard. We made it happen," Harbhajan said.
