Asian Games | Indian women’s compound archery team secure silver medal
India women’s compound archery team had to settle for a silver medal as they lost the finals by a scoreline of 228-231 to South Korea on Monday at the Asian Games in Jakarta. The Indian team comprising Muskan Kirar, Madhumita Kumari and Jyothi Surekha Vennam earlier beat Taiwan in the semis.
The Indian contingent added another silver medal to their tally as the Indian women's team came second to South Korea after they suffered a narrow loss in the finals on Monday in the compound archery team event at the 2018 Asian Games. The Indians were defeated by 228-231 by the Koreans who made their way to a gold medal.
Earlier in the competition, the women's team had defeated Taiwan in the semi-finals to seal a spot in the finals at Jakarta. The Indian team comprising Muskan Kirar, Madhumita Kumari
In the quarters, the Indians outplayed Indonesia's Sri Ranti, Yurike Nina Pereira
With this, Sindhu became the first Indian shuttler to win a silver medal at the Asian Games.
