Akhil Rabindra, on Sunday, finished second in Race 1 at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in the European GT4 series, England. Rabindra took over charge from partner Florian Thoma, who had kept the first spot till the mandatory Pit Stop came into effect, and finished behind Reinhard Kofler.

Indian racer Akhil Rabindra drove the Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 and bravely finished ahead of Danielle Mckay, who was driving a MCLaren 570, and Jan Kisiel in Mercedes AMG. Rabindra had started at the second position briefly behind Reinhard Kofler of True Racing, who was driving a KTM X-Bow GT4.

Kofler got the advantage of an early pit and he didn’t fail to capitalize on Thoma leaving for the pit lane for change of driver. However, Rabindra didn’t give up and kept the momentum intact preventing other risers from overtaking him with technical manoeuvering. However, Kofler, in his movements, was clinical hardly making any error till the final 32nd lap of the race.

Consequently, Rabindra could only finish second on the circuit of the European GT4 series. The PRO Sport Performance Racing duo of Thoma and Rabindra, after 32 laps in Race 1, finished +3.031 seconds after Kofler and his team-mate Patric Niederhauser.
