Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who has been asked by the PCB to retire from Test cricket after the West Indies tour, surprised everyone by hitting 6 sixes in 6 consecutive balls for his team HK Island United in the Hong Kong T20 Blitz on Thursday. The 43-year-old slammed 82 runs from 37 balls.

With an unflappable temperament, Misbah-ul-Haq has been leading Pakistan cricket team for last seven years and now at the age of 43, he has proved yet again that why age is just a number on the face of steely determination. In a T20 game, generally considered a young man’s format, Misbah-ul-Haq hit 6 sixes in as many balls in the Hong Kong T20 Blitz.

In the match against Hung Hom Jaguars, Misbah hit seamer Imran Arif for two sixes in the final two balls of the over and after getting the strike back on the second delivery in the next over, which was bowled by Ashley Caddy, the HK Island skipper butchered him for four consecutive sixes to complete the remarkable feat.

His 37-ball 82 helped Hong Kong Island United post 216/6, but Hung Hom Jaguars failed to track down the total as could only manage 183/8 and lost by 33 runs.
