Skipper Paras Khadka has become the first batsman from Nepal to score a century in T20 International format, as he scored a match-winning 106 off 52 deliveries against Singapore. This comes as a big achievement for the team who were only recently granted official status by the ICC.

Nepal cricket team captain, Paras Khadka accomplished this feat during the team’s encounter against Singapore in the ongoing tri-series. The series is being held in Singapore also includes Zimbabwe as the third participating nation.

Nepal was able to register a nine-wicket win over the hosts riding on the performance of Khadka. This century has allowed Khadka to claim several T20 records. With this innings, he became the first-ever T20 skipper to have scored a century while chasing. His innings 106 from 52 deliveries is also the fourth fastest ton by an Asian player in T20 cricket. His innings included nine sixes and seven boundaries.

The game saw Nepal batting first putting up a total of 151-3 from their 20 overs. In response, Nepal innings led by Khadka chased down the target with four overs to spare. Arif Sheikh who was batting along with his skipper from the other end supported the innings with a score of 39.
