After a disappointing loss to New Zealand in the crossovers recently, Team India is out of the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup, but their campaign could turn out to be a lot more disastrous. India faces the risk of their worst performance in the tournament ever if they lose their match to Japan.

The FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2023 Bhuwaneswar-Rourkela starts in a couple of days and all the participating nations have arrived at the venue for the start of the tournament. All 16 participating teams comprise 18 players plus two reserves, who could come in handy in case of an injury.
