The spat between Indian cricket team coach Ravi Shastri and Wankhede curator Sudhir Naik reached a tame end yesterday after Naik withdrew his earlier complaint. The issue had ensued after Shastri allegedly abused him over the condition of the pitch in the decider of the India-SA ODI series.

The truce was brokered by Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Vice President Dilip Vengsarkar.Ā Vengsarkar, on Sunday, remarked that the issue "was a result of misunderstanding between the two former Mumbai players" after hearing out the two formerĀ MumbaiĀ players during a meeting.

Vengsarkar announced in a statement, "Both shook hands and Mr. Naik decided to withdraw the letter written to Mumbai Cricket Association," as quoted by Zee News.

Naik had earlier filed a complaint against Shastri after the alleged incident took place right after the Proteas plundered a mammoth 438 runs on October 25, handing India its second worst defeat in ODIs.
