Catches win matches they say and Nicholas Pooran helped his side do exactly that for the Rajputs against Northern Warriors in the T10 League. Carlos Brathwaite was dismissed off an Imran Haider delivery as Pooran put in an acrobatic effort at the boundary line after juggling the ball few times.

The T10 League has helped bring cricket to a new audience in the UAE as fans have flocked to see some of the biggest names in the sport ply their trade in what is the shortest format yet. Last night’s match between Rajputs and Northern Warriors was an excellent treat for the fans as the latter chased down a target of 65 with seven wickets to spare.

However, Trinidadian Nicholas Pooran, who is the tournament’s second-highest run scorer so far, pulled off a stunning catch on the boundary line to help his side pick up a win and dismiss countryman Carlos Brathwaite. Brathwaite looked to go big and up the ante for his side in the sixth over as he hit the ball low and hard towards the boundary off an Imran Haider delivery.

However, Pooran, who was guarding the ropes managed to grasp the ball while running which later slipped out of his hands. The Trinidadian managed to hold onto the ball after it ‘juggled’ form one hand to another and dismissed Brathwaite successfully.
