BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry is set to meet the three-member independent probe panel today in Rahul Johri case. According to reports, CoA chief Vinod Rai and IPL petitioner Aditya Verma will also depose in front of the investigation panel in the sexual harassment case against the BCCI CEO.

According to the Hindustan Times, the BCCI treasurer will depose in front of the independent panel constituted by the Supreme Court-appointed CoA to investigate the sexual harassment allegations against the CEO of the Indian cricket board Rahul Johri. The probe panel includes Justice (Retd) Rakesh Sharma, Barkha Singh and Veena Gowda and they have asked Chaudhry to depose in front of the panel in Mumbai. Earlier, Chaudhry had mailed the three-member panel on Friday and had agreed to extend full support in the investigation into the matter.

“The committee after receiving the mail from Anirudh wherein the treasurer wanted to depose asked him to meet the panel either on Sunday or Monday. The treasurer will be in Mumbai today and meet the trio,” a BCCI official told Hindustan Times.

CoA chief Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji will also meet the panel today which has come as a surprise to the other officials of the board as both of them had previously met the panel on the day it started the work.

“We were told that both Rai and Diana had already met the three-member panel when they started investigation. Why do they need to meet them again considering that the panel will also be submitting its report to the same CoA. Quite confusing,” said one of the officials of the board.

IPL petitioner Aditya Verma has also been asked to meet the three-member independent panel after their rules of deposition were criticised by the board.
