VIDEO | Carlos Brathwaite takes a catch while sitting down after tripping in BPL
Playing in the Bangladesh Premier League, Windies star Carlos Brathwaite slipped funnily and just about managed to hold on to the catch while being on the ground. The incident happened in the sixteenth over of the Khulna Titans versus Rajshahi Kings encounter in the second innings.
In the 15th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match between Khulna Titans and Rajshahi Kings even though the Titans pulled off the win, it was Carlos Braithwaite who managed to garner the attention of the fans. The incident happened during the bowling of Pakistani pacer Junaid Khan, who was handed the responsibility of bowling the 16th over.
In the sixteenth over of the Kings’ innings, batsman C Jonker lifted a lower full-toss delivery to mid-off where Windies player Carlos Brathwaite was stationed. Brathwaite tripped by himself as his shoe spikes failed on to grip the ground and fell on his backside. Luckily for him though, he fell backwards and could still see the ball coming right at him. While on the ground, the Windies star was able to somehow maintain enough composure to grab the ball out of the air to send the batsman packing.
However, after grabbing the ball, he rolled over and appeared to be in some discomfort because of the fall.
