Cricket field has witnessed many spectacular fielding, but only a few could challenge the law of physics. Such was the case in the game between the Northern Superchargers and Oval Invincibles where Amanda-Jade Wellington took a tremendous catch to break the Supercharger’s opening stand.

Filled with confidence after two successive wins, Oval skipper Lauren Winfield-Hill won the toss and opted to field first. The Superchargers openers Hollie Armitage and Davina Sarah T Perrin took the crease as Rachel Salter took charge to bowl the first over. Additionally, Perrin began the Oval batting with a cracking boundary on the second ball. However, her stint was short-lived as Salter got her number, courtesy of a blazing catch by Amanda-Jade Wellington.

On the seventh delivery of the innings, Salter came over the wicket and bowled a full-length delivery to the English batter. The white rock was pitched outside off as Perrin aimed to go down the crease for a biggie. Unfortunately, she ended up miscuing the shot as the ball soared high up in the air beyond the inner ring. Amidst this, Wellington, stationed at mid-off, sprinted backwards and leaped to her right trying to get hold of the white cherry. Furthermore, the dive was spot-on as she ended up grabbing the ball with utmost perfection and sending Perrin back to the hut. The Invincibles were ecstatic to witness the Aussie star’s magnificent effort as the contingent came in to support her effort.

What a stunner!
