Pawan Negi Impresses in Legends League Cricket Against Royal Riders Punjab
The India Tigers have started the Legends League Cricket with an impressive win over the Royal Riders Punjab. Pawan Negi came out as the star for the team in their debut game in the league. With his rapid-fire knock and two wickets, he turned out to be the prominent player in the game.

The Legends League Cricket saw the new teams giving their absolute best. Even though the tournament is being played by recently retired players, they have shown that even after retirement, they have a lot of cricket left in them. This was the case when fans witnessed the action between Royal Riders Punjab and India Tigers.
India Tigers were batting first in this game, and the team struggled a lot. They even stood at the score of 61/5 within 9 overs. But then came Pawan Negi, who changed things. He went on to score 41 runs off 18 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes, increasing the team's scoring rate. Eventually, India Tigers finished their innings at the score of 168/8.
The target of 169 seemed a bit challenging for Royal Riders Punjab to achieve. But Mohammad Shahzad and Rishi Dhawan gave a strong start. India Tigers made a comeback, as Pawan Negi went on to dismiss Asghar Afghan to shift the match momentum. He also started off well in the chase, taking the wicket of Phil Mustard. India Tigers went on to win the game by 20 runs.
Our Take
Pawan Negi unleashed his inner beast to allow the India Tigers to start their campaign with a win. At a ground where the other batters failed to achieve a 150 strike rate, he went on to score runs at a strike rate above 200. This shows that Negi still has a lot of cricket left in him, as he eyes the Legends League Cricket title for India Tigers.
Even with the bal, he went on to give his absolute best for the team. The chase was challenging for the bowlers, too, noting the dew factor. But he went on to concede runs at an economy of just 5.50 in his 4-over spell. For his brilliance with both bat and ball, it was the right call to give him the POTM award.
