Chennai Super Kings were already struggling with the bat, but Jadeja decided to give a final blow. Coming to bowl in the 8th over, he immediately struck by taking the wicket of Sarfaraz Khan, who was a set batsman. Following this, it was a clash between the CSK middle order duo, as Shivam Dube was going against Ravindra Jadeja.

Dube started off by smashing a six against Jadeja, giving fans some hope. But Jadeja went on to take his wicket in the very same over, taking two wickets for the team. Bowling three overs, he conceded 18 runs and took 2 wickets.
