Kerala Blasters took to Twitter recently to announce their latest signing for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League in the form of 34-year old French Defender, Cyril Kali. Kali, a 34-year old centre-half who has spent most of his career in Greece, joins from Greek club - Apollon Pontou.
The 2018-19 season of the Hero Indian Super League is fast approaching and the clubs in the league seem to have been wasting no time in bolstering their squads. The signings of Holicharan Narzary, one of NorthEast United FC’s most pivotal figures for the last three seasons, and one of the best defenders of the country, Anas Edathodika, has already made the Blasters stronger. Another signing for the Yellow Brigade was India’s U-19 FIFA World Cup goalkeeper - Dheeraj Singh, who earned rave reviews for his performances in goal.

Kali guided Apollon Pontou to a seventh-place finish in the Football League (Greek second division) last season. He played 18 league games and managed to score a goal as well. The French national has spent more than a decade in the Greek football league where played for clubs like Asteras Tripolis and AEL.
