Four wins for the Reds, and we have something on our hands especially down at the bottom. The relegation battle is on, the top five battle is on and a few others. But next up is the Champions League and it should be fun.

Jurgen Klopp says: "I liked a lot how we started. We scored a wonderful first goal. But then we weren't good in second ball situations. We have to pick them up much more often. We struggled in this situation and that gave West Ham a good feeling.

"They could win the second ball from the goal-kicks and for us that was difficult. We lost a little bit of patience in the first half in the things we did. Offensively, you could see this a little bit. They scored the second goal and I have to watch back how that happened. Then we were forced to stay calm and do the right stuff.

"All the goals we scored were strange. The best goal we scored didn't count because Sadio [Mane] was offside. You have to squeeze it and that's what we did tonight to get the three points and it is so special."

David Moyes says: "We can take a lot of positives. Before the game nobody will have given us a great deal of hope. I thought for large periods of the game we had a chance. I'd hate to think my teams would do anything but put a lot of effort in and I'd be annoyed if anyone else thought otherwise. The disappointing thing is the individual mistakes.

"I thought tonight we did a really good job. We performed really well as a team but we go away with no points and it's the points we need. We wanted to be a bit more aggressive than we were against Manchester City. The games have been difficult as a coach to know the right way to go and approach the games.

"It's easy for people to say we have free hits but you think 'what a load of rubbish when people say that'. We've certainly got no free hits, we need to get points. I'm not happy with the individual mistakes and if we don't cut them out it'll cost it. You've got to take a lot of responsibility as a Premier League player.

"I'm not disappointed with the performance, but I'm disappointed we didn't get any points from the game."

Trent Alexander-Arnold says: "Obviously we felt like we've dominated the game but that's football. We've let them have two or three chances, the set-piece was probably their best chance of scoring today so we've got to look at that. We're happy with the win, that's the main thing, but there's a lot of things we need to get right.

"The fans were massively with us, they were unbelievable, especially when we went behind. For us it's a massive help. We just tried to keep going, that's the mindset drilled into us by the manager. It paid off in the end. The manager gives us freedom, he understands the players' qualities and that's massive for us.

"We're an attacking side, we want to create chances, we want to be scoring goals and hurting opponents and the best way to do that is getting players forward and creating as many chances as possible. We're in a good position now but we need to keep working hard. I'd say we're confident more than anything, we believe in our own ability.

"I'd say the overwhelming feeling for everyone is hunger to be as successful as possible, to win every game we go into. We want to be winning everything we can be."

GAME, SET AND MATCH, LIVERPOOL!! OH. MY. GOD. What was that? Football at it's best or somehow was that the Premier League's greatest advertising board? It was something, Liverpool have now beaten Manchester City's 20 consecutive wins in the Premier League with this being number 21. But West Ham, put up one hellva fight. They put up the fight of the century and the world watched on. Heartbreaking in the end, but wow. Football is brilliant.

In an instant, a minute and a half has disappeared. And as they show the replay of that Bowen shot, you've got to wonder, what if Moyes had started the former Hull City man? What if he had the game-time and sharpness to finish that chance? What ifs will rule this game but right now the Hammers have a chance and it's time for Hammer time. Or is it?

14 minutes left and no-body anywhere in the world is going anyway. Because somehow, West Ham have put up a performance of their lives. They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath and yet tonight the Hammers have done something truly mental. 

Corner flies in and it's well over everyone but the cross is fired back into the middle. SALLLLLAAAAHHHH AND FABIANSKI WITH A FANTASTIC REACTIVE SAVE!! The Pole may have saved his side here after conceding two goals but that save was still rather magnificent. An instant reaction and Liverpool can't poke home the rebound. They do have a penalty shout but VAR says nothing doing.

MICHAIL ANTONIO WITH THE CHANCE OF A LIFE-TIME AND HE FLUFFS IT... What was running through his mind only he'll know but that chance was the chance of a decade. Change for West Ham and somehow David Moyes is sending on center-forward Sebastien Haller, why is this happening? Felipe Anderson is the man walking off the field and that does see Antonio move out wide and OMG, Haller's height will help them on corners. Not the way anyone should play the Frenchman but when you have tall people, use tall people.

The Kop rages. Liverpool make nothing of corner number 1 but get number two and then number three after two comes to absolutely nothing. They need to do more with these. West Ham are barely hanging on here and Firmino fires it high and wide again. Not good from the Brazilian.

HALF-TIME AND THIS HAS BEEN FUN!!! 

West Ham have stayed in this and have made it a proper contest. Liverpool scored first, then the Hammers responded less than three minutes later with a fantastic header. Since then, they've been good and looked sharp, even created a few chances. Now comes that second half.

Just a minute of added time before the half-time break and both sides are doing shockingly well. The shockingly was more for West Ham than Liverpool with the Reds dominating everything and yet they've failed to beat Fabianski more than once tonight. 

It's a real midfield battle here with Liverpool's three fighting against West Ham's quadruple with the Hammers biting to make up a little difference. It's working for them but how long is John Moss gonna wait before the cards come out? We might see one very soon..

CORNER AND FANTASTIC SAVE FROM FABIANSKI'S CROSSBAR!! OH MY GOODNESS, THAT WAS IN. THAT WAS IN, TILL IT WASN'T WITH THE CROSSBAR MAKING A FANTASTIC SAVE!!

Somehow, I'm whispering it, West Ham looks good. Maybe a little protest helps their cause or was it a little something else from David Moyes? The West Ham boss didn't look too pleased after the performance against Manchester City and few would blame him. They were leaky and not this side at Anfield.

West Ham are not settling for anything here at Anfield. They're causing problems, especially from corners, and that has caused Liverpool troubles. They do not look anything close to comfortable from a Hammers' corner, or free-kick or basically anything with a dead-ball. That being said, the Reds look equally dangerous from a dead-ball thanks to TAA.

All Liverpool right now with West Ham dropping into a back-six. That includes Robert Snodgrass and Michail Antonio on either side. It leaves Felipe Anderson as their lone front-man but Antonio has the speed, agility and acceleration to catch up if needed.

COUNTi....SORRY...FIRMINIOOOOOO and the curler flies just above Fabianski's goal. There was something there and that shot is on especially with the wind moving from left-to-right, i.e. the same direction Liverpool are charging forward in.

Oh that would have been wonderful. That would have been utterly wonderful. First a back heel from the left-back and then Sadio Mane with the perfect nutmeg on Robert Snodgrass but somehow Mane cannot find the net. Corner and West Ham clear the ball after a little bouncy chaos inside their box.

Corner count is now level as Liverpool win another but goodness me, Robert Snodgrass is not a bad set-piece taker. The Scot has struggled over the last few weeks but at the same time, he's been their best player at times which yet again says a lot. Liverpool's corner comes to absolutely nothing and that is....not worth my time or yours for that matter.

Fun game here. How fun? Well, there was only a 174 seconds between the goals. So I'd say that fun and probably means that both sides are level. Or Liverpool were the better side for only 174 seconds.

Looking back at both goals, neither goalkeeper could have done too much better there. Diop's header was low and really well hit, leaving Alisson with no time to react. Wijnaldum's header was equally powerful but had a little deftness attached to it with beat Fabianski more than anything and saw him only get a hand to it.

Free-kick in a dangerous area and it's the dangerous duo with the dead-ball. TAA flicks it for Andy Robertson but his cross is defended well, for once, by West Ham. Somehow Mo Salah gets the ball back again and he tries to win his Puskas again but Fabianski is there and makes a great save!!

Problems for West Ham and they look a little jittery as Sadio Mane nearly makes Fabianski pay for a terrible, half-baked attempt at a clearance. The ball bounces off the Liverpool man and out for a goal-kick and Hammers fans breath a sigh of relief. Somewhere an Arsenal fan is cursing the Polish goalkeeper.

Liverpool back again and win another corner. Robertson with this one and once again, it's a waste of time but the Reds still have the ball AND ANDY ROBERTSON FIRES IT JUST WIDE!! Oh that was close, leaving Fabianski doing absolutely nothing.

Weak cross from Andy Robertson and Issa Diop concedes a corner. First of the night and up steps a potential Ballon d'Or winner in TAA or Trent Alexander-Arnold. But since TAA is shorter, TAA is his name and the corner is about as useful as a winter-coat is on a sunny day.

That was the best move West Ham might produce because two minutes in and Liverpool are dominating, moving and look comfortable with the ball. It's the way things are and as I type this, Felipe Anderson has poked it out and won a goalkick for his side. Not bad..

THE TEAMS ARE OUT. LIVERPOOL LOOK GIGANTIC AND WEST HAM PROTEST. 

Yup, the Hammers fans are unhappy at the way their side has been run since the takeover by owners David Gold and someone Sullivan plus managing director Karren Brady and plan to release black balloons tonight in protest at the way the club is being run.

A statement released on behalf of the club said: "Climbing the Premier League table is the club’s sole focus and we would ask for everyone to unite at this important time." 

Jurgen Klopp says: "We lost the game, there's absolutely no positive in it, but if there's any help in that result it's that you felt a defeat. Nobody thought: 'Oh, in the league we're fine'. We have to put it right to get the other feeling back. I don't think we ever lost how a win feels, but now we lost the difference is massive. It's much more than three points. It's really from sunshine to hardest rain.

"That's how it should be if you want to be successful, how we could have been in that game. Then it has to feel really bad and that's how it felt. So yes, we want to put it right even though it will be a different competition."

David Moyes says: "It's football, and things in football happen, we've seen some crazy results in cup games and in all sorts of different football games, so we have to hope we get one of them tonight. Everyone is trying to work out what's the best way to play against Liverpool. Eventually, someone will find a way - I hope it's us tonight. We'll be doing everything we can to get a result."

On Jeremy Ngakia: “I am keen to give the young players the opportunity. Ideally it would not be in this situation and at Anfield away or in this situation where we are in the league. Ideally, you would try to bed them in but it does not always come perfectly. Zabaleta, as you know, has been incredibly reliable and has a great personality when he plays.”

LINEUPS ARE OUT AND IT'S MORE OF THE SAME!!

Just the one change for Liverpool from the team that beat Norwich City last weekend and it's an enforced one with Jordan Henderson out for three weeks. He's replaced by Fabinho in midfield with Naby Keita keeping his place in the side. No change in formation, back-line or front-line meaning it's an FPL manager's field day.

West Ham have made two changes with Felipe Anderson recovering from a back injury and is in the side for the first time since January replacing the injured Ryan Fredericks.
