GAMEWEEK 29
Well, that's all we've got for you folks, TONIGHT, because this weekend isn't over yet. One more game left on the docket and it's a cracker with Manchester City facing Arsenal on Wednesday night alongside Champions League football. It should be magnificent and given that it is alongside European football, a tough cookie. But either way, we'll be there to cover it.
For now however, this is goodbye, goodnight and until next time.

PLAYER TALK: HARVEY BARNES
Harvey Barnes says: “A tough period recently but good to get back to winning ways and personally to get back onto the scoresheet it’s great. We were gutted with how the cup game went, we knew both teams would come in wanting to win but it’s good to get a bit of payback for how the cup went and we’re delighted.
“The way [Reina] came out I saw a little gap at the side and took a touch, then you’ve got to it the target. It crept into the middle and going into half-time in front was great.
“This season’s my first full season from start to finish. First half of the season I was disappointed as I hadn’t scored any goals but since then the goals have been flying in and I’m delighted how it is going so far.
“It’s been a bit of a sticky period so for us [this] was very important. We need to kick on, we’re in a good position in the league.”

PLAYER TALK: JAMIE VARDY
Jamie Vardy says: "We needed to put in a performance. The past few weeks it's not been there. I've been through a spell where I've not scored but that happens and luckily tonight they both went in.
"It's a boost for us but we know we've got cup finals every single week now. We'll enjoy this result and then get back on the training field and look forward to next week."
On his first touch being the penalty: "It made it a bit easier as the keeper said I was going down the middle and I was. He tried to call my bluff."

GAME, SET AND MATCH, LEICESTER CITY!!! In the end, it was a convincing win for the Foxes as Leicester City get their first win in five games. A well deserved win after a bang average and rather terrible first half but they were supported by the Villians. Dean Smith's Lions shot themselves in the foot, then kidneys and finished off with the mouth as they handed three goals to the hosts.
Trouble for one, and a change for the other.

Finally, there's the fluid Leicester we expect to see. Marc Albrighton cannot finish the move created by Barnes and Tielemans but for once, Leicester looks good on the ball. Villa don't have enough time to be party poopers here tonight and they're in trouble...

LEICESTER CITY 4-0 ASTON VILLA
Still about 50 seconds left on the clock, plus added time, and the Foxes want more. Barnes and Vardy on a hattrick and I wonder who finds the net next? Brendan Rodgers? I wouldn't put it past the former Chelsea assistant manager.
10 Mar, 03:16
LEICESTER CITY 4-0 ASTON VILLA
It's been all Harvey Barnes tonight and he deserves the hattrick. That's if he gets one and for once in a long time, the Foxes will walk away with a win. They deserve it but in all honesty, Aston Villa have shot themselves in the foot thrice. The fourth one, Barnes' recent one, is the only one that Leicester can actually claim for themselves because the others, were all mistakes by a Villa man.

HALF-TIME AT THE KING POWER AND LEICESTER CITY LEAD!!
Far from a classic game here but Leicester City have got themselves ahead thanks in part to a horrendous mistake from the goalkeeper. IT'S A LEICESTER DOG-PILE. IT'S A PILE AND HARVEY BARNES HAS BROKEN THE LOCK!! Individual error from Villa and they've successfully managed to shot themselves in their foot after losing the ball in a key area. Albrighton picks it up and sets Barnes free, he beats the onrushing Reina and then knocks it in with shocking ease.
10 Mar, 02:08
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
Ten minutes from half time and the net hasn't bulged yet. Not even close to getting a net bulge which has irritated us fans. We want goals. We want shots. We want action and two out of three is not good. We need all three. Give us all three.
10 Mar, 02:03
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
A flurry of Leicester corners and one by one they come to nothing until the last one. The third one is short, and Ricardo Pereira fires in a gorgeous pass. It's inch perfect for Iheanacho and the man fires wide. He rises high and hits it wide, failing to break Leicester's duck and continue his scoring run against Villa. Oh, that was a chance and a half...
10 Mar, 02:01
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
It's not been a classic so far but it has been a very interesting game. No shots on target from the Villians yet but even then you could say they've been the better side by a mile. Leicester have struggled from open play and with a half hour gone, set pieces are their best option for a goal.
10 Mar, 01:55
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
Frederic Guilbert with a fantastic last-ditch tackle and he had no choice but to make it. There was a shout for a penalty but replays tells us that there was never a penalty. Michael Olivier got the decision right but that's a threat now for the Villians. Justin looks confident charging forward and it does give Guilbert a massive problem on that side.
10 Mar, 01:53
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
Still no major Leicester chance has been created since those missed headers and at the moment, it doesn't look like they might. That fluidity/flow they had earlier this season has disappeared with them struggling to do much with the ball. This is not the same team that beat Arsenal, gave Chelsea one hellva time and beat Spurs.

Leicester have been terrible. Yes, downright terrible so far and yet they have two shots on goal, two wonderful attempts that should see the score in their favour. It should be 2-nil to the Foxes and yet here we sit, but that comes despite the fact that Leicester hasn't created anything.
Instead, they've been handed both chances, that lead to corners, by Villa who seem overly keen to shoot themselves in the foot, face and even a couple of kidney shots if needed.
10 Mar, 01:43

CHANCE FOR LEICESTER AND REINA WITH THE SAVE!! Oh that was wonderful. A wonderfully worked corner but Reina is there in an instant and Jonny Evans simply cannot believe it. That kind of contact, on that cross and on target, 99 times out of a hundred, it's a goal. Unfortunately, this is number 100..
10 Mar, 01:39
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
Leicester simply hasn't gotten going here with Villa doing the exact opposite. The visitors have already created a couple of rather nice chances but haven't been able to take them and that will hurt them before they know it. The Foxes have struggled but they can score brilliant goals.
10 Mar, 01:37
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
CHANCE FOR VILLA AND IT SHOULD BE 1-0!! A rather cute overlapping run sets Targett free on this near side out on the left and his cross is damnn near perfect. Unfortunately, Conor Hourihane cannot get the right shot off and instead scuffs it badly. Leicester clear and Iheanacho can do nothing about that clearance.
10 Mar, 01:34
LEICESTER CITY 0-0 ASTON VILLA
The rain is relentless in the West Midlands and it's affecting the play, in the best possible way because the ball is fizzing across the field. Which side produces it is the biggest question especially with Leicester struggling and Villa reeling from that EFL loss.

Brendan Rodgers says: "We know we are a better team with him (Ndidi) in it, there's no question. When you're without one of the best players in that position in the league, he's always going to be a miss.
"Some of the guys have come in and done fantastic but he's irrepressible. It's what he gives the team and what he allows the others to be able to do. Hopefully he can stay fit now because he's very important for us."
On Jamie Vardy: "He's trained the last few days but we want to make sure he will be fit for rest of the season. No doubt he will play a part this evening but it's great to have him back."
On James Justin: "Justin has played well in the cup competitions, he's a player that will be very important for us over the next number of years. It's a great opportunity for him and I'm sure he'll do very well."
On the top four: "Whatever the results [around us] we need to win this game this evening. We haven't been negative, we're very focused on the game tonight and we'll do everything we can to get back to winning ways."

That doesn't mark the end of Gameweek 29, because we have two more games left. Maybe it's just me but football should be played on the weekend but c'est la vie. All for more football here and we have two games left on the docket. Leicester City face Aston Villa tomorrow night before Manchester City and Arsenal knock heads together on Wednesday night.
But for now, we'll leave you with that gem from Ronaldo. So goodnight, goodbye and until tomorrow!!

MANAGER TALK: OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says (a lot): "The desire, attitude, commitment. The connection between fans and players and the team. What a day they’ve had today, both the players and the fans. Of course they made us defend, that’s the type of players they are, but if our fans can see players with attitude and commitment and desire, then we’ve done our job as coaches today. I think we at times pressed them and pushed them back, we tried to be aggressive with the full-backs, so when we hit the press I think we made them make mistakes.
"I can’t put my finger on anything [negative], but at times you’d like to defend with the ball in the team sometimes, but I’m not going to complain. It’s a privilege to be a manager of a squad and players with this attitude. They give us absolutely everything they’ve got every time they play and you can’t ask for more.
"We’re going to improve, they’re going to improve as players. There’s two or three times today, head up and we score a goal. There’s twice Dan James could square it, once for Bruno, once for Anthony, Anthony could square it for Bruno. Those little things, they’ll come.
"Well of course it’s a derby, the fans love it, the players love it. For our players to beat the team that’s Man City, with the problems that we’ve had as well, it’s fantastic. I’m just delighted for them. We played against an absolute top, top team. Of course we had to defend and they had possession, but we’re delighted with the outcome.

MANAGER TALK: PEP GUARDIOLA
Pep Guardiola says: "Good game. We played good. We miss a little bit, especially in the first half, when we arrived in positions to be a little bit more aggressive. We conceded a goal, we should avoid it. Second half was good, and congratulations United. We were a little bit more aggressive in the second half, but in terms of the way we play we played good in both halves.
"Ederson saved one or two. He’s an exceptional keeper. I’m not here to judge my players for making mistakes. It’s part of the game, he will recover and he’s an exceptional goalkeeper.

GAME, SET AND MATCH, MANCHESTER UNITED!! Sack or retire, this will be a day to remember for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. For the first time in almost eleven years, Manchester United have done the cherished double over their rivals and have helped Liverpool's cause. They now need six to win the title and Manchester is red. City looks battered and need an injection of energy.
