Saurav Ghosal becomes highest ranked Indian squash player
Saurav Ghosal has jumped five places to number 14 to become the highest ranked Indian in the latest Professional Squash Association rankings released on Friday. Among others, former national champion Harinder Pal Sandhu was placed at 49th, Mahesh Mangaonkar on 64, and Vikram Malhotra on 68.
Chennai: Saurav Ghosal jumped two rungs to 14 to become the highest ranked Indian in the latest PSA rankings released on Friday. He beat Joshna Chinappa who slipped three places to 17 while Dipika Pallikal Karthik remained on 20.
Several other Indians have made impressive strides in the latest list. While Harinder Pal Sandhu remained on 49, Mahesh Mangaonkar dropped a rung to 64 , the spot that Ramit Tandon too has come to after rising by 16 places to be the most impressive performer. Vikram Malhotra has come down to 68 from 66.
Among the others, Sunayna Kuruvilla has had a striking progress from 104 to 89 to get placed third in the women's section behind the two leaders Joshna and Dipika. Sachika Ingale is on 96.
