Indian athlete Muhammad Anas emerged victorious in the men’s 400m race with a timing of 45.57 seconds at the Mlada Boleslav Athletic Meet in the Czech Republic. Among the women athletes at the meet, Hima Das clocked 53.07s and finished as the fastest runner in the 400m race on Saturday.
The Indian athletes were up against each other in Mlada Boleslav on Saturday and the two national-record holders Muhammad Anas and Hima Das emerged as the top performers in their respective events.
In the men’s 400m race, Anas clocked 45.57s and finished first while he was closely followed by Noah Nirmal Tom who managed to finish with a timing of 45.75 seconds. Another Indian Amoj Jacob was third on the list as he clocked 46.54 seconds. India’s Ayyasamy Dharun, who had won a silver medal in men’s 400m race at the Asian Games last year, made his comeback after injury. He finished sixth in the 400m race with a timing of 47.34 seconds.
With 53.07 seconds, Hima was the top runner among the women athletes in the 400m category and her compatriot VK Vismaya followed her closely with 53.11 seconds. MR Poovamma finished third with a timing of 54.08 seconds while V. Subha (54.29), V.K. Salini (54.87), and R. Vithya (55.00) were at the fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively.
