RR Steals the Spotlight in RCB vs CSK Social Media Banter
The social media banter between IPL teams has gone a little too intense now. A few days back, Royal Challengers Bengaluru started an online banter with Chennai Super Kings. But the answer to the same has now been given back to them by Rajasthan Royals, making it a banter between three teams.

The IPL always remains incomplete without the social media banters between the teams. These banters are what make the rivalries even more intense, as they do a better job in collecting the fans attention. Over the past few years, several teams have been involved in a banter with each other but fans waited for a good banter in the IPL 2026.
And it finally happened with the game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings. Surely CSK fell short in winning the game against them, which even meant that they could not reply to the banter post. But recently in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it seems that Rajasthan has also joined this banter.
Let's take a look at how this banter between the teams has unfolded.
RCB Targets Dhoni's Absence
The entire online banter between these teams started with the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings. MS Dhoni was not playing for CSK as he was going through rehabilitation. And the match didn't go in the favour of the five time champions yet again.
During the game, Jitesh Sharma took a sharp catch when CSK were chasing the massive target. Abhinandan Singh bowled a delivery to Shivam Dube which went through an inside edge, going low towards the wicket-keeper. Jitesh Sharma made a spectacular dive to catch the ball and ultimately save the game for his team.

The video of his catch immediately went viral and commentators even praised his efforts in the same. RCB also posted the video of the catch on their official Twitter handle. But they captioned it by saying, “Ek tha jo wicket ke piche se,” which is a slogan generally used for MS Dhoni.
RR Replies in Place of CSK
Chennai Super Kings lost their match against the defending champions. But following this, RCB went against Rajasthan Royals at Guwahati, and this was a moment where RR decided to take revenge over them. And this was not just a revenge of the losses which they suffered last season, it was also for the banter with CSK.
Virat Kohli looked like a set batsman for RCB in the initial stages of the game. He was able to smash boundaries with ease and maintained a strike rate above 200 in the powerplay. But when Ravi Bishnoi stepped in with the ball, even the King was unable to continue his innings. Bishnoi trapped him in his spin and bowled him out.

Following this, Rajasthan Royals went on to take a step in this banter. They posted a photo of Ravi Bishnoi bowling out Virat Kohli but in a completely different manner. The post had captioned, “Jahan matter bade hote hai.” This line is mainly used for Virat Kohli, as he has changed a number of games towards his team in IPL and international both.
RR’s Best Number 18 Player
Even before the match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the banter between the two teams started. The team had posted on their social media handles right before the game, as they decided to play a game with the fans. The game was pretty simple.
Their post read, “Chalo we’re back with another game 😂 Pick a number between 1-99 and we’ll name a cricketer who dons that jersey 👀”

A Virat Kohli fan replied to this post by commenting on the number 18. Anyone would have expected the franchise to reply by saying Virat Kohli, as he is known the best wearing this number. But Rajasthan Royals decided to answer Smriti Mandhana's name, which literally shocked the fans.
