CoA to administer BCCI until new constitution comes into effect
The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) will be taking charge of administering and managing BCCI until the new constitution is implemented. Only the selection committee and the Cricket Advisory Committees will act as per before with CoA having a complete administrative control.
Through an elaborate directive issued on Thursday, August 23, CoA will be taking complete control over the administration of BCCI until the new constitution given by Supreme Court is implemented. Until then, the administration will be headed by CEO Rahul Johri.
The situation came up, just two days after the BCCI registered the new constitution in the Registrar of Societies of Tamil Nadu at Chennai. According to CoA, the former previous constitution is no longer in effect. Hence, they felt it was justified to take over the administrative and managing sector of BCCI for the time being. Acting President CK Khanna, Acting Secretary Amitabh Choudhary and Acting treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary are currently holding their positions without any effect.

The office bearers have been notified to not expect payments from BCCI for any foreign travels. However, in case of an emergency, the CoA will form an ad-hoc Committee using its own discretion.
