Mumbai have missed out on the semi-final spot by a whisker as Karnataka, Haryana, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan became the four teams to have qualified for the semi-finals to be played on November 29 in Surat. While Karnataka will take on Haryana, Rajasthan will play Tamil Nadu for a place in the final.

Washington Sundar and M Siddharth shared seven wickets between them in the last Super League game against Jharkhand as Tamil Nadu booked a semi-final berth with an easy win. Batting first, Jharkhand were bowled out for 85, and in reply, Tamil Nadu chased it down in 13.5 overs. That was TN's third win in four matches - taking the points tally to 12 - and helped them qualify for the semi-final. Karnataka were the other team to have qualified, with the exact same points, but that left Mumbai in a spot.

With 12 points, Mumbai were a contender but their net run rate of -0.194 worked against them. Meanwhile, Rajasthan ensured a close finish in their favour against Delhi to gain the net run-rate advantage over Maharashtra which helped them qualify for the semi-final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Rajasthan, Baroda and Maharashtra all finished with eight points in Super League Group B, but Rajasthan had superior net run-rate of -0.254 which was enough to send them through to the semi-finals.

Haryana, on the other hand, secured three wins from four games and hardly broke a sweat to qualify for the semi-finals where they will take on Karnataka in their bid to play the final. Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan will play against each other.
