‌Making a debut for one's country often brings nerves, but some players rise above the pressure to deliver exceptional performances. This was the case in the first T20I between Pakistan and South Africa in Multan, where debutant Seshnie Naidu pulled off a brilliant catch to dismiss Muneeba Ali.

South Africa had a steady outing with the bat after being put in to bat first at Multan. The Proteas women built their innings around Tazmin Brits' half-century, which helped them post a competitive total of 132/3 in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan stumbled early, losing both Gull Feroza and Sidra Ameen within the powerplay. At 10/2 after four overs, Pakistan found themselves in deep trouble, with Muneeba Ali and Nida Dar at the crease. The situation worsened when Muneeba Ali was dismissed, thanks to a stunning catch by debutant Seshnie Naidu.

On the final ball of the fifth over, Tumi Sekhukhune bowled a fuller delivery aimed down the leg side. Muneeba Ali attempted to flick it off her pads towards short fine leg, where Naidu was positioned. Reacting swiftly, Naidu tracked the ball’s trajectory and executed a full-stretch dive to her right, snatching the ball in her outstretched palm. Elated by her incredible grab, Naidu’s joy was momentarily tempered as the on-field umpire referred the catch to the third umpire for confirmation. After a brief review, the decision was upheld, and Muneeba was given out. Naidu’s remarkable effort on her debut sparked excitement on social media, with fans praising her commitment and athleticism.
