Lalit Modi has made a bold prediction for Jacob Bethell in the Indian Premier League. Speaking in a podcast, he talked about Bethell’s form and the price he would get in the upcoming seasons. He also revealed that Bethell would be a 150 crore player in the IPL 2030 edition.

In the podcast, he said, “Jacob Bethell will get 16M$ (150cr INR) per season by IPL 2030.” Bethell also delivered some impressive performances for England in the T20 World Cup 2026, which also included a century in the semi-final match against India.

The prediction made by Lalit Modi that Jacob Bethell will bag huge in the IPL auction is true. But the figures he gave, saying that he will get approximately 150 crore rupees per season seems impossible by IPL 2030. As of now, the highest a player could earn from a single season could not go even 30 crore. Moreover, the BCCI has also launched rules on the earnings of foreign players, as they would only receive a maximum of 18 crore rupees and the extra funds will be used for the improvement of the game. Still, one thing remains true that the bidding war will be a good one when Bethell is on the table.
