With this, he has been suspended for a massive total of eight years to participate in any format of the game. This serves as a major blow for the player, who was involved in the match fixing scandal, which was investigated by the Emirates Cricket Board. It has been confirmed that he violated not just one but three anti-corruption rules of the ICC. First is the one which relates to the match fixing, while the other is related to involving other players to do match fixing. Reports claimed that Akhilesh tried to delete the messages and call logs too, which resulted in a lot of problems for the case to be completed.
