Our Take
The fitness of Hardik Pandya has been a major concern for the Indian team. He was earlier injured during the Asia Cup 2025, and has suffered yet another injury in the Indian Premier League. Looking at the tight schedule the Indian team has in white ball cricket, it is necessary to have their premier all-rounder fit for the majority of those games. Along with that, the Indian team could not afford to have Pandya missing out on the series against England.
