England Women's team and United States Women's team went against each other in a friendly game, which was played at the Wembley Stadium. This match ended in a draw, as both teams failed to score a goal in the game. Leah Williamson, a player of England's team further talked about the team's performance.
She said that although the girls gave their best, it was not enough to defeat the number one team even in a friendly game. Later on, Leah Williamson continued saying that the players should get uncomfortable, which will help them to score goals even in the friendly competitions and enhance their performances.
Williamson also said that the team went a bit isolated when they went forward, which further prevented them from scoring goals. The England Manager, Sarina Wiegman, also reflected on the loss saying,“Very intense game. It is at the highest level. We had some moments. As a team, we defended really well and we could have pressed them. Lots of learnings from this game. Very intense game and hope everyone who watched it liked the team.”
