The upcoming UEFA Europa League match between Besiktas and Maccabi has been shifted to Hungary from Amsterdam. This incident took place after the clashes between Israeli and Palestinian football fans, which took place a few days before the game in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Therefore, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) took the matter into their own hands to shift the match from Amsterdam to Hungary. The association notified about the same, saying,“The UEFA Europa League match between Beşiktaş and Maccabi Tel-Aviv on 28 November 2024 will take place at the Nagyerdei Stadion in Debrecen, Hungary, following a decision by the Turkish authorities not to stage it in Türkiye. The match will be played behind closed doors following a decision of the local Hungarian authorities.”

This incident took place during the recent game between Maccabi and Ajaz in Amsterdam. There were clashes between both groups as the Pro Palestinians went out after the Maccabi fans after being provoked by them. Following this, five people were injured and the Dutch authorities were able to arrest five people.
