Cancelo previously made 65 appearances for Barcelona across his 2 loan spells, scoring 6 goals and providing 8 assists.
He said returning to the club was his only priority and described the move as fulfilling a childhood dream. The Portuguese defender also made it clear that Barcelona must aim for every major trophy, particularly the Champions League. Cancelo will also reunite with former Manchester City teammate Rodri. The pair played 134 matches together at City, winning 97, drawing 17 and losing 20.
During those games, City conceded an average of just 0.8 goals per match. Cancelo praised Rodri as one of the best players he has played alongside, highlighting his ability to contribute both offensively and defensively.
