Pak unsure of Junior World Cup hockey participation in India
Pakistan are unsure of their participation in the FIH Junior World Cup hockey to be held in India in December following the breakdown of relations between the Asian neighbours in the wake of an attack on an Indian army base.
“Given the existing relations between the two
“We will go if the government says we can go but we are concerned, especially after the way the Indians didn't allow Pakistan to send its team for the ongoing Kabbadi World Cup in Ahmedabad.
“If the government feels we can go and play there it is fine for us because
India withdrew its invitation to Pakistan for the Kabaddi World Cup and the Badminton Association of India pulled out its players from an international tournament in Pakistan following the Uri attack, that also saw the Indian cricket board request the International Cricket Council to avoid placing the two countries in the same group in preliminary stages of global competitions.
